PRC-638

was built in Italy by IRET . It is one of radios brought back from "Operation Desert Storm" most often. It can be compared to PRC-77, is not as rugged, however its operation and service are easier. The PRC-638, like the PRC-439, never were used by the Italian Army.
PRC-638 can be used as transceiver in portable, mobile and fixed stations.
