TRA-967/3
is a compact VHF transceiver, built by Racal. It comes in two
versions,
a 1- watt- version ( TRA-967/1 ) and a 3- watt- version ( TRA-967/3 ).
The 3- watt- version is in the museum.
Besides on/off, the mode- switch serves these functions :
Whisper: microphone sensitivity is increased by 20 dB
Rebro: two radios can form a repeater
Noise: Usually preset squelch is deactivated.
This type of radio, too, was brought back from "Operation Desert Storm".
