DA/PRC-261

is a portable solid state transceiver, developed by Philips and built in Denmark. Its predecessor is the Canadian tube-radio CPRC-26.
PRC-261 is shorter than CPRC-26. Its housing is longer, but the battery compartment is much shorter. (See pictures). Besides, it has 12 channels, CPRC-26 has 6.
It was used on platoon level.
