SM 118 is a lifeboat transceiver. It was built by Elektromekano in Denmark. The serial number is 3407. I could not find out when it was built. It is in a watertight yellow housing made of glass fiber. It is fully transistorized (Germanium transistors). The automatic SOS in CW is driven by a windable clockwork. After winding it runs for two minutes- then you can wind it up again or you can key manually or you can use the headset. The headset cannot be removed. Power supply is either by hand crank or by external 24V.
