AM-2060:
The audio amplifier and power supply of the radio set provides the PRC-25 with power,
and amplifies the NF signal from the radio. The cable CX-4655 connects both parts, the battery is not used.
[ AM-2060 plus cable CX-4655 also are called OA-3633A/GRC. ].
The antenna AS-1729 can be remotely controlled from the AM-2060 by a ten- step switch.
MT-1029:
The mounting fixes the AM-2060 mechanically to its place, and connects the set to the power and communication
system of the vehicle.
It is used for different radios; the following are part of the collection:
- RT-246 Mobile radio;
- RT-524 Mobile radio;
- AM-2060 (see this page)
- VRC-240 Mobile air radio.
AS-1729:
The antenna can be tuned manually (knob at the antenna base) or by remote control,
(knob at the AM-2060). Its components are:
- MX-6707 antenna base with tuning unit
- AS-1730/VCR lower antenna element (abt. 1.60 m long)
- AT-1095/VRC upper antenna element (abt 1.33 m long).
The connecting cable is called CX4722A/VRC ;
The antenna is constructed as an upright dipole.
- Frequency range:
- 30 .. 75,95 MHz
