Purpose:
TP-9
is a telephone with built- in tube amplifier. It is used to improve the range and quality of signals in
long telephone lines. (especially used as field phone).
It is used when it is not advisable or possible to use repeaters.
The device is used at final points or in the midst of two- wire lines. The distances covered can be doubled-
compared to usual field phones.
Best results can be got if a TP-9 or TA-264/PT is used at both ends of the line.
The device is watertight, when closed. A call can be shown accoustically or visually (switchable).
Differences between TA-264/PT and TP-9 :
TA-264/PT has serial- numbers above 9266
TP-9 has serial numbers up to 9266. It has small improvements in circuitry and a new bell tone generator.
