  TS-240/660T

is a field test- and maintenance set for

  • PRC-660T, the portable UHF- radio and
  • VRC-240T, the mobile UHF- radio.(See previous page)

    Various tone- and RF- generators , test circuits and memory circuits are contained. Performance measuring can be done, otherwise only possible with many laboratory instruments.

    All cables needed are stored in the lid. The set can be powered by AC 220V or DC 24V. At 24 V the test set can be powered by the radio or the radio can be powered by the test set.

    Modes of operation :

  • Automatic: Automatic test of the radio on 10 stored frequencies.
  • Semi- Automatic: Automatic test of the radio on one of the 10
       stored frequencies.
  • Module scan: A certain module is tested on 10 stored frequencies.
  • Module: A certain module is tested on one of the 10
       stored frequencies.

  • Frequency accuracy
  • Percentage of modulation
  • HF- output (transceiver)
  • Modulation capability
  • NF- output (receiver)
  • Sensitivity

    Test results are shown by four lamps:
  • Overload (yellow): PRC-660T consumes too much current while fed
       from the mains.
  • Go (green): Normal test result.
  • No-Go (red): Test result out of tolerance limits.
  • Scan (blue): Test set is scanning.
