  DAV

is the directional finding version of the MAB. It is a portable transceiver, built in 1941 for Navy paratroupers.

Radio and power supply are built in a plywood housing. A so called, very rare "Skull Cap" contained the headphones.

The MAB , also built 1941 by the same company (Comco) with the same technical details, was also meant for the Navy paratroupers.

show that they are almost identical.

DAV is a "Squad Radio", a small hand held unit for very local communications. The collection shows all American Squad radios from their beginning (1941) to 1986. (Follow the links below)
