R-861 "anemone"
is a Russian SAR radio, used to provide connection between pilotes in distress and
search planes or other helping personell.
Four HF- frequencies can be used. Connections can be made in speech or CW.
Automatix distress signals can be sent, too.
The transmitted signals can be monitored.

The orange housing is watertight when closed, it contains the station and its lithium batteries.
A headset with throat microphone is used.
The 5.5 m long extractable antenna and its tripod are made of metal coated fibre glass.
The counterpoise consists of three wires, each... long.
The collection has the version R-861. There also is a version R-861M1. I could not find out the difference.
