  Codan NGT SRx (New Generation Transceiver)

This HF radio is used for connections under difficult conditions over vast distances; from offroad- vehicles, ships or planes.
It is built in Australia by CODAN ©.

It is mostly used by the government, private organisations and private persons.
The flexible design consists of matching blocks.

The provided equipment set can be set together as a mobile as well as a fixed station; Also the programming software as well as the programming cable are included.

At mobile operation the handset is used remotely from the radio, mounted at a suitable place.
Components of the mobile station

When used as a Fixed station, the special cable with handset and loudspeaker can be used. As option the NGT console with 2m connecting cable can be used. The console consists of handset, PTT, amplifying microphone, loudspeaker and four additional hotkeys.

The Codan NGT, too, as mobile station, can use the proven automatic antenna 9350, remotely controlled by the radio.

This radio lays value on modern operation.
The control panel resembles a cell phone, it is small und user friendly.
The complete operation and programming is carried out by use of this handset.
The operator can program channels, addresses, and functions; and can adjust the radio to his own needs.

        Also a remote controlled switch out is possible.

  • ALE automatically choses the suitable channels.
       CALM ©, an enhanced ALE by Codan, can scan several networks with 8 ch/sek, three
       channels more than the conventional ALE. A profile of the channel charistica is
       automatically stored for 24 hours in a database. This database has more than 7 times
       more storage capacity than conventional ALE. Thus the the HF activities are reduced,
       and immediately after switch on, a favorable channel is available.

  • A built in system test (BITE) shows the system characeristica at any time.

  • CALL POSSIBILITIES:
       SELCALL: A unique radio is addressed, and only this one answers.
       PHONECALL: Telephone calls are possible via base stations, connected to the
        telephone net.
       MESSAGE CALL: Up to 64 digits long text news can be sent and received; without
        external computer.

  • An optional GPS- receiver can be connected to the RS232- port. Thus own GPS data
       can be sent and GPS data of a distant station can be recalled.

  • Easy access to the programming connector at the downside of the handset.
        Programming is possible via enclosed USB cable and likewise enclosed software.

    Codan offers a chargeable HAM option. With this option the HAM bands are tunable.

    Codan, however, does not answer to contact attempts.. If, after adventurous tries, you at last get this option, it only consists of a simple key.
