LHP 219
is a transceiver, built in India by BEL, and sold into the Iraq. With suitable accessories it can be used
as portable, mobile or fix station unit.
It is a watertight, solid state, modular radio with digital frequency synthesizer.
The frequency is chosen by five decade switches: 10 MHz, 1 MHz, 100 kHz, 10 kHz, and 1 kHz.
The handbook dates from 1987; the year of issue is not known yet.
The range is 25 km with rod antenna, and 250 km by sky wave.
