The antenna base MP-57

was introduced 1933 as a standard, and used for the radio set SCR506.
It was used for vehicles until the Korean War.
The bag BG-67A ist specifcally used to protect this antenna base.

There also is a different model with an isolator with a larger diameter, called
" cow pie" ; then the antenna base is called MP-37.

The segments of the antenna consist of copper plated steel. There are five different color coded segments: MS-53, -52, -51, -50, und -49.
Not all of these segments are in the collection.
