RA 1796 B
is a synthesized allmode- HF/VHF/UHF- receiver from 500 kHz to 500 MHz, built by RACAL.
Frequencies are selected via the numeric keys.
Frequencies can be scanned in programmable frequency steps or switched on by hand by up/down keys.
A certain band between two given frequencies can be scanned, the search stops at signals.
And much more...
- Frequency range:
- 500 kHz ... 500 MHz
Technical data:
- Channels:
- 100; programmable with mode and bandwith. The values can be changed without changing the receiving
values valid at the moment.
- Marked channels can be scanned in variable time steps between 64 ms to 10 s.
- Warmup time:
- 6 Min
- Modes:
- CW (A1A)
- MCW (A2A)
- AM (A3E)
- FM (F3E)
- SSB ( R3E, H3E, J3E, R2A, H2A, J2A )
- IF- out:
- 21.4 MHz (IF2) @ 3 MHz bandwith, output signal depends on input signal;
- 1.4 MHz (IF3) , 100 mV r.m.s @ 50 Ohm (not while on SSB).
- Video out:
- 1 V peak/peak @ 75 Ohm , AM- signal 30 % modulated.

- 15 kHz
- 30 kHz
- 300 kHz
- Audio output / impedance:
- 200 mW; line out 1 mW / 600 Ohm
- Frequency steps:
- in HZ : 10, 30, 100, 300 Hz;
