KOMAR-2MP

is a Russian emergency locating beacon. A bright orange balloon contains a R-855 UM in its base and a CO2- cartridge, to inflate the balloon in case of an emergency, bringing the antenna in an upright position. Komar can float, and the color and shape help in rescue.
R-855 UM can be removed an used as a portable.
A "drop line", 11 meters long, connects the KOMAR with its battery Priboy 2S. I could not find out, what is the use of such a long connection.
The R-855 UM's color, used in this KOMAR, is yellow. This means, it is an older radio.
