80 E 11
is a German BOS radio, used by Public Service.
It is an 11-channel- UHF- Radio, built by Telefunken. It mostly had a vehicular use. Size was small and power
consmption was very low for those times. Using an optional power supply, the radio could also be used as a fixed station.
It could be used in cars with 6 or 12 V.
The radio was sold in two versions that also looked different from the outside:
Duplex: with built in band combiner and one call pushbutton (collection's radio);
Simplex: with built in antenna switch, three more call pushbuttons; a squelch that can be switched off;
this radio can also operate a selective call set.
